A Parents Guide to Admisssions to Schools in Norfolk

How We Assess at Kings Park

Since the advent of the national curriculum, regular assessments have become a part of school life. Key Stage 1 SATs (Statutory Assessment Tests) are conducted at the end of Year 2. These provide valuable information about the progress of the children individually and collectively.

At Kings Park our curriculum aims to develop;

Well-being: At Kings Park we aim to prepare children for a fulfilling future as well as attend to their present needs, hopes, interests and anxieties and promote their mental, emotional and physical welfare. We will help children to develop a strong sense of self, a positive outlook and maximise their ability to learn through good, evidence-informed teaching.

Governing Body

The purpose of our governing body is to help the School provide the best possible education for each of its pupils, and to enable them to reach the highest  standards of achievement.

 Its three core roles are to:

  • Ensure clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction.
  • Hold the Headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils, and the performance management of staff.
  • Oversee the financial performance of the school and make sure its money is well spent.
